Spyro the Dragon - Tabloid Demo

The Tabloid Demo is an early demo of Spyro the Dragon, and is currently the earliest publically accessible version. This build dates to roughly two and a half months before the final game.
The build was featured on a wide range of American demo discs. Until full prototypes began surfacing, it served as one of the most significant windows into the game's development, and provides the player with a great variety of differences from the final game.
Only three levels are playable - the Artisans Home, Stone Hill and Dark Hollow - with the remaining portals being blocked off to the player, and as such are inaccessible under normal means. All of the dragons featured in the Artisans Home use different vocal dialogue to their final appearances, and all dragons seen within levels use text dialogue not seen in the final game. Exit vortices use the dragon pads as a placeholder model, and gems can be seen to be floating within each of these vortices. The ordering of the icons in the HUD is also slightly different.
Additionally, there is a wealth of changed content relating to levels later on in the game which do not appear in this demo, and as such are unseen to the player under normal means.
